Union Chapel Recycling Bins
-When our bins are completely filled with community items, our school cannot utilize them. This means we have to throw items that would usually be recycled in the trash.
-If bins are full, please do not continue to add recyclables. If the doors cannot shut, loose items blow into our yard and into our neighbors' yards. This causes our custodians to take time away from student needs to clean up messes that could have been prevented. We want our school to be a good neighbor, and no one likes to find someone else's trash -- or recyclables -- on their lawn.
-Each neighborhood has its own curbside recycling service. We ask that you utilize this option whenever possible.
-Please pass along this information to your neighbors and community friends. The more families are aware of this important information, the better we can serve our students and our planet!
-Here is a helpful list of items that can and cannot be recycled.
Thank you for helping Union Chapel make planet-conscious steps in waste management!

School Counselor Practicum Student
Our very own 5th grade teacher, Rebecca Irwin, has started her practicum experience to become a school counselor. In addition to her full-time job teaching reading and writing to Union Chapel students, Mrs. Irwin will be shadowing Mrs. Dusin, teaching social/emotional lessons, observing in classrooms, and providing support to Union Chapel students. We’re excited to have Mrs. Irwin’s skills and experience in this new role as she works toward her master’s degree from Arkansas State!
