Teacher Evaluation Information
Important Changes for 2017-2018
Please read carefully for updates to the 2017-18 Instructional Evaluation System.
The Human Resources, Instructional, and Information and Technology Services Divisions have collaborated with the Clay County Education Association through the Clay Assessment Committee to develop an Instructional Evaluation System that conforms to legislative mandates.
As you know, Student Performance Measures will count for 33.33% of the Instructional Evaluation this year. This year teachers with an assigned VAM score may choose to use this score as their evaluation measure or they may choose to use the proficiency and/or growth scores from the district assigned assessments that align to their course(s). Teachers without a VAM score will use the proficiency and/or growth scores from the district assigned assessments that align to their course(s).
To help guide teachers through understanding the evaluations and cut scores tied to their courses, we have developed a new website that provides resources to both Administrators and Teachers. The 2017-2018 OneClay Evaluation Informational website can be found at http://1718oneclayevaluations.weebly.com.
We strongly recommend that teachers complete the following steps:
- Click here to determine the assessments aligned to the course(s) that you teach.
- Click here to determine the cut scores for the assessments aligned to the courses(s) that you teach.
- Click here to create a targeted learning plan for yourself to ensure that you have a plan to meet your goals.
- Schedule a meeting with your administrator if you have any questions about the assessments or cut scores aligned to the course(s) that you teach.
