Week at a Glance
October 26-30, 2015
What I'm Reading This Week:
What the Admin PLC is working on:
Tier 2 Systems of Intervention for Students who are staying after school vs. child care services for students who are just staying after school to hang out, or for parent convenience.
Systems for Teacher Effectiveness - we would like to purchase GradeCam for our campus. It will save the average teacher about 7 hours per day on grading and they are adding a text box feature in December. I would like anyone who manages a gradebook in TEAMS to check out GradeCam and give feedback to your floor leader/SLT member. I am also attaching a Powerpoint about GradeCam and Plickers.
Plickers= quickie formative assessment- not going in the grade book - used for determining adjustments needs to instruction-who needs to have face time, etc. We modeled these at the August PD. You must cut the square if you print your own (do not leave them on the 81/2 x 11" paper (creates a situation where students can copy what the smart kid is doing). We all know who the smart kid is in class...
GradeCam =used to grade common assessments that you can import grades with the press of a button (F8) and import to TEAMS.
