Way to go CCE!
Every Child a Reader just named Clear Creek Elementary one of this year’s winners of the first ever Children’s Book Week Draw-a-Poster contest! Posters were created by CCE fifth graders during their library visits the week prior to the event. Snapshots of their original art were submitted and one was selected a winner! Although we don’t know which poster won specifically, we feel honored by this special accolade. As a prize, our school will receive a box of books from Every Child a Reader for our library.
The 2019 Fall Children's Book Week event for Every Child a Reader ran November 4-10. This annual celebration of children’s books and reading was established in 1919 and is the longest running national literacy initiative in the country. Children’s Book Week is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary with over 1,300 participating schools, libraries and bookstores in all 50 states.
