A Note from the Principal

Dear Families of Timber Ridge Rangers,

Did you know that Timber Ridge does not provide free lunch to all students school-wide? While we do provide free breakfast for all students, families are responsible for the cost of lunch. Many of our students have accrued debts in the cafeteria and I worry that families may not know how to apply for the free/reduced meal program. You can apply for the program by going to this link:

schoolcafe.com

More information on how to apply can be found below. If you need help applying, our friendly office staff is always willing to assist. We also have technology devices that you can use to apply if needed. Please stop by and let us help!

Please speak to your children about The Ranger Rules:

  • *Be safe.
  • *Be kind.
  • *Be respectful.

We would like to remind everyone about the safety procedures for morning drop-off. Parents who are dropping off must go through the drop-off lane and students may only exit their cars from the lane that is closest to the building. Students should not be dropped off in staff parking areas and should not be dropped off in the two lanes which are further from the building. Please help us to keep all of our Rangers safe by modeling kind, courteous, and safe behaviors during drop-off time. There is a separate entry way for students who are not dropped off in the drop-off lane. This entrance is located near the portable on the Aspen Dr side of the building.

Once again, thank you for your kindness and support. We are so excited about working with your children and families. If there is anything we can do to assist you, please reach out to us at 254-336-6630.

Kind Regards,

Mrs. Dockery

Principal

BIO…

Deaf Musical Artists

When I was in university, I joined the choir. At first, people looked at me coming in with two interpreters, hearing aids, and an FM system as strange, but once they heard me sing their expressions changed. Many just do not realize that deaf people can literally do anything except hear fully. There are quite a lot of deaf musical artists out there.

Of course, the most popular one is Beethoven, but here are some you may not have known about:

Sean Forbes was first Deaf person on the Billboard charts (this year!)

Sean Forbes continues to open doors for Deaf and HOH people in music. This year he became the first Deaf person to place on the Billboard charts in the USA. He did so with his album, appropriately titled, “Little Victories.”

I was able to meet Sean Forbes twice when he visited my state, and his music is amazing! If you haven’t checked him at then you definitely should! Little Victories not only placed on the Billboard charts, but it also hit the number 1 hip hop spot on Amazon Music and iTunes! DEAFinitely making history there!
