Improve Our Wi-Fi
By: Patrick Charters
What Could Happen
The addition of iPads to our school has greatly benefited the students ability to learn, however our Internet speed has taken a hit. Can you imagine what would happen if we lost internet connection in the school. It would be a catastrophe. Students would not be able to do or submit most of their homework.
The Current Situation
The Wi-Fi currently at the school averages at about 3 Megabits per second during the school day, however it still does slow down to almost nothing during high times of activity. Some conditions I have noticed this happening on are when there is a new iOS update, during lunch, and when teachers are having learners watch videos on YouTube. If the WI-Fi is not accessible during lunch then the classes during fourth period might not be as efficient, productive, and engaging as they could be.
