Attention Parents: Class of 2022
Class of 2022 families, we need your help during this exciting time! Please scan the QR code and fill out the quick form sharing your contact info to be updated about upcoming graduation events. We need to raise approximately $40,000 for graduation events, and there are many quick, easy ways to help. We are hoping each family can help at our Can and Bottle Drive for a 2-hour time slot. We are in desperate need of volunteers this Saturday, Oct. 2nd, from 8:30-2:30. Please follow the link below to sign up for one of our monthly fundraisers. We have been raising around $3,000 with 6 hours of easy work. Our community has embraced our seniors and show up each month, donating an astonishing amount of cans/bottles. We want to keep this tradition going but need your help!

Safety Updates and Student Dropoff
Please reference the link for the updated RSSL document, from Oregon Department of Education’s Ready School Safe Learners for all current regulations.
The following information explains the guidelines, communication, and support for students who are going to experience extended absences for any reason (surgery, sickness, travel, bereavement, quarantine, etc.).
Parents, please do not use the bus turnaround for student dropoff after 8:30 AM. It causes safety issues with unloading students from buses. We appreciate the cooperation with adhering to using the two lower lots for dropoff.
Remember lunch and breakfast are free! Students, please stop in and grab a breakfast sandwich, some pizza, or a delicious sandwich. When you do that, take the time to meet our fantastic kitchen staff.
We are also looking for interested students to work during lunch. If interested, please see Mr. Kelley, Mr. McKedy, or Mr. French for details.
Here is the menu:
We have various ala carte items to pick from, such as chips, water, cookies. These items are not part of the free lunch, so make sure you have some money on your account.
Students, please remember to clean up after your meal and thank your custodial staff for all their work to keep your cafe clean.
Join A Club
Here is a video showing the clubs we will be offering this year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITiibxYX3gk
Getting involved will give you an opportunity to do things you enjoy, make new friends, and will increase the likelihood of your graduation and success after high school. We want all of our students at SHS involved as much as possible.
Durham Bus Services is continuing to make every effort to hire and onboard new drivers as efficiently as possible. Due to the shortage of drivers the following routes: 1,2,3&4 will not be operating the week of 10/4-10/8. Thank you parents for your patience during this time period.
