Class Photographs
Adventure Photography will be in school on Thursday 15th April to take class photographs. You will be given information on how to order afterwards. All orders are to be done online.

School Lunches
As per Mr Weights letter sent to Parents/Carers today, the process for ordering school lunches will be changing. Children will no longer need to book meals for the full week. Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.
Can you please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.
Each day there are 3 choices, either the hot dinner, the sandwich or the jacket potato with a choice of 3 toppings. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.

Covid Tests for Families
If you’re a member of a household, childcare bubble of a pupil, student or staff of a school, nursery or college, you can get a twice-weekly test:
- through your employer if they offer testing to employees
- at a local test site
- by collecting a home test kit from a test site
- by ordering a home test kit online

Reminder to still report positive Covid tests throughout the Easter Holidays
Should you receive a ‘test positive’ result for your child it is VITAL that you notify us as soon as possible. Send an email to covid@mf.starmat.uk (stating student’s full name and class, contact phone number, date and time of positive Covid test result – please use TEST POSITIVE in the title)
It is VITAL that you let us know as soon as you possibly can so that we can implement contingency planning.
New Early Years and Pre-School Multi Skills Programme
Premier Education are excited to be launching their brand-new early years and pre-school programme running on Saturday mornings at Athelstan Primary School in Sherburn-In-Elmet. The programme is a fun and exciting story-based programme that looks to promote social skills as well as physical literacy. The sessions will run from 9-10am for 2.5-3.5-year-olds and from 10-11 for 3.5-5-year-olds. For more info and to book click the button below.
Reporting a positive Covid result out of hours
Should you believe your child to have Covid-19 symptoms and need to go into self-isolation, please notify the school office in the usual way via phone or email.
Should you receive a ‘test positive’ result for your child it is VITAL that you notify us as soon as possible: During school hours – directly to the school office via 01937 557396.
