Giving Tree- Helping Families for the Holidays

Giving Tree efforts are well underway. If your family is experiencing some hardships, our community is here for you. Time is of the essence. Please reach out now!

How the Giving Tree works:

  • Kim Saso will be out on medical leave so staff members Robin Berube and Melanie Guillemette will oversee the remaining needs and fulfillment of wish lists with the help of the NHS advisor, Maryanne Margiotta. The National Honor Society will be assuming Giving Tree responsibilities next year and have increased their involvement this year. Families in need can request support by emailing Robin Berube at or Melanie Guillemette at
  • Provide a wish list for each child (Infant to 18)
  • Information needed for wish lists are gender and age of child or children. For clothing items, shoes, and boots, sizes are needed. Clothing items to consider are coats, snow pants, hats and gloves, shirts, pants, pajamas, socks and underwear. Also include specific toys, games and arts and crafts selections. What does your child really want? Please do not ask for video games and gaming systems.

Many supporters will be ordering online this year and like to take advantage of sales. We also need to anticipate increased shipping time. Coordinating this support takes time and a lot of communication. Any level of support from families is greatly appreciated. We will put out a request for particular items through Sign Up Genius.

Please know that family information is kept confidential and that there is no judgement in asking for help. We all struggle from time to time and have to overcome many challenges. Leaning on each other will help us get through those tough times. We are a strong community. We are here for you.
