The Staffing Scoop
Week of June 25-28, 2018
Greetings
The hourly countdown is on until our Summer break. I am super excited and ready, aren't you?? I plan on enjoying time with my kiddos and hopefully having a little time to myself somewhere during the break. July 4th is one of my favorite holidays so I look forward to searching pinterest recipes to bring with me wherever we end up to celebrate the day!
When we return in July we will move through our busiest as a department. Wishing you plenty of rest over the break so we can return refreshed and ready to conquer the month. I recently sent out an email about working on Fridays, if it would help get the work completed. Please stay in communication with me so we can ensure a manager is here on those Fridays, as well.
The recent professional growth feedback has brought to the surface the needs for more in depth conversations around what our employees feel is best for their individual growth opportunities. To best address this feedback staffing members will fill out IDP’s - Individual Development Plan to layout a roadmap of their learning opportunities over the next 9-12 months. Filling this plan out is not intended to add more work on staffing team members plates, but instead it is to help with verbalizing their needs and interests. Josie sent out an invite for us to get together after the break to talk through it before each of you begin to work on your plan. In addition to the IDP items Staffing will also implement the professional growth learning opportunities/exercises for staff members below. Please feel free to send me more suggestions you would like for your leadership to implement as this list is in the beginning planning stages:
Leadership will bring in rotation of staffing team members to leadership team meetings.
Leadership will schedule shadowing opportunities with other HCM departments

TEACHER JOB FAIRS
A big thank you to all who have served at our job fairs. We only have one more listed below and it could be a large one due to the amount of teaching vacancies we have right now (there is currently 469). Since this is a weekday job fair I am asking all campus staff to attend. If this presents a conflict please let your Manager know so they know you will not be able to make it. You can flex your time this day or you will receive overtime if you work your regular hours plus attend the job fair.
- Thursday, July 26th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Conrad High School
