Gearing up for a great year!

Every child deserves to be challenged, nurtured, and accepted for who they are. In order to help students reach their full potential, our team will be intentional in our work to support students to be independent, critical thinkers and accepting of others; to persevere in the face of challenges, and value teamwork.
Each day in the year ahead will bring new learning opportunities, challenges, and successes. Through a strong partnership between home and school, our children will meet (and surpass) academic expectations, and they will grow as compassionate, resilient, lifelong learners and leaders. We look forward to partnering with you to make this year the best one yet for every student!
Please watch for more information and make sure that the email you have entered in the registration process is the best one for us to use. Also, we encourage you to follow us on Facebook for frequent updates, reminders and celebrations throughout the school year!
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me.
We look forward to a great year.
Best,
Joanna Bannon

Arrival & Dismissal
Parents of 4K and Kindergarten students are able to walk their child to their classroom the first few days of school, if you choose. Beginning September 6th, the students will be greeted right at the door by a staff member to ensure they get to their classroom safely. All students and parents must enter through the front/main entrance.
For new students in other grade levels, parents are welcome to walk your child(ren) to their class on the first day of school as well. Please enter through the front/main doors only.
**NEW arrival procedures for all students:
All students must enter through the front/main entrance. For safety reasons, the back and side doors will no longer be used as an entrance in the morning and are locked at all times.
Students may arrive at school between 8:20am – 8:35am. All students will have "soft start" in their classroom from 8:20 - 8:35. Class begins and attendance is taken at 8:40. Students should be in class and ready to learn by 8:40 or they will be marked tardy.
If students are eating breakfast at school, they may enter the front doors at 8:15am and go to the cafeteria.
Students should not arrive on school property until 8:20 as there is no supervision, unless they are purchasing breakfast.
Dismissal is at 3:30pm daily. Please make sure your child's teacher knows how he/she will get home each day. If your child will be picked up by a parent (or family member/friend), please indicate if they will be picked up in back or front of school. If your pick-up plan changes during the day/week, please send this update to both the teacher AND the main office.
Drop off/Pick up and Parent Parking – Due to the high volume of vehicles coming and going during drop-off and pick-up times, a bit of traffic and congestion is inevitable. Student safety is always our primary concern throughout the school day.
We would like to offer the following suggestions to maximize safety and efficiency for all:
- The drive through lane in front of school is for drop and go only. If you would like to get out to say good-bye, or if your child needs assistance with a car seat, etc., please park in the lot and walk your child to the door if they need assistance or to say your good-byes.
- Cars are expected to pull all the way to the end of the drive through to avoid long lines that extend into Lincoln Ave.
- Please have children exit the car along the sidewalk, and not in the drive through if at all possible
Lunch
The school lunch program is no longer free to all students; only to families that qualify for free (or reduced) lunch. We encourage you to complete the application to learn if you qualify for free/reduced lunch. The 2022-23 costs and monthly menu will be updated on the district and school websites prior to the first day.
