Exactly how big is a serving
Fruit's: 1 medium fruit, 1/2 cup of chopped fruit, 1/2 cup of fruit juice.
Veggie's: 1 cup of raw leafy veggies, 1/2 cup of any other veggies or 1/2 of veggie juice.
Dairy's: 1 cup of fat free milk or yogurt , or low fat cheese
Meat's: 2 to 3 oz. of cooked lean meat, poultry or fish
Grains: 1 slice of bread, 1 oz. of ready to eat cerial, rice or pasta
Oils: 5 to 7 tbs daily
A serving of bread should look no bigger that cassette tapes.
A serving of Pasta should be the size of a tennis ball
A serving of Veggies should be the size of a base ball
A serving of fruit should be the size of your fist.
