ST. JOSEPH SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT
St. Joseph School, affiliated with the Dominican Sisters and an integral part of St. Joseph Parish in historic Mission San Jose, is dedicated to providing a strong Catholic religious formation and an excellent academic education for transitional kindergarten through 8th grade students. Partners in this endeavor, students, parents, educators, and parish community strive to live Christ’s message, empowering service-minded future leaders for Church and community.

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Greetings St. Joseph Families,
It is truly an honor and a privilege to be the Principal of St. Joseph School. Although this year will look very different than any other, I know that if we work together, we can learn and achieve more than ever. I look forward to staying connected and working together in perfect Unity.
Our faculty and staff are an outstanding group of dedicated professionals. The most important learning happens in the classroom, virtual or in person. To our dedicated support staff members and classified personnel, you play a vital role in the operation of our school, and without you, we could not flourish!
My vision for this school is for each and every student to be kind, critical thinkers, who problem-solve and collaborate effectively to reach their goals. I have high expectations for students and staff, and we will work together to hold ourselves accountable to a high standard of excellence. We will make decisions based on the needs of our students and what is in their best interest. No matter a student’s needs, we will use our expertise and training to provide the necessary support systems and strategies to ensure his/her success both academically and socially. We will have a caring and nurturing environment that starts with a positive school culture. Our Mission states that parents, students, school staff and parish staff are Partners that strive to live Christ’s message, empowering service-minded future leaders for the Church and Community.
If we all work together as a team, I know we can achieve great things. We Love Our Parents! You, our parents and students are the cornerstone of our school. Your engagement is key to your child’s academic success and the overall energy and spirit of the school’s culture. Although school looks very different right now, I would encourage you to share your creative ideas for fundraising and community building in distant learning and when we are back together again on campus. Thank you for your support and partnership.
My door is always open. Please contact me anytime by phone, email, or just drop by.
Peace & God Bless,
Patti Calton

St. Joseph School’s 25th Anniversary Golf Tournament
As we try to get back to some sort of normalcy, one tradition continues as we celebrate 25 years of the St. Joseph School Golf Tournament. We will be having the annual golf tournament at The Club at Ruby Hill on Monday, October 5, 2020. Because of the restrictions of COVID-19, there will only be a golf tournament and not a dinner portion this year. Auction items will be online on a new website. We are seeking sponsorships, golfers, donations, and volunteers. If you can help in any of those areas, please go to the link below or contact Mr. Hashimoto (shashimoto@sjsmsj.org) with any questions.
