PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Greetings St. Joseph Families,

It is truly an honor and a privilege to be the Principal of St. Joseph School. Although this year will look very different than any other, I know that if we work together, we can learn and achieve more than ever. I look forward to staying connected and working together in perfect Unity.

Our faculty and staff are an outstanding group of dedicated professionals. The most important learning happens in the classroom, virtual or in person. To our dedicated support staff members and classified personnel, you play a vital role in the operation of our school, and without you, we could not flourish!

My vision for this school is for each and every student to be kind, critical thinkers, who problem-solve and collaborate effectively to reach their goals. I have high expectations for students and staff, and we will work together to hold ourselves accountable to a high standard of excellence. We will make decisions based on the needs of our students and what is in their best interest. No matter a student’s needs, we will use our expertise and training to provide the necessary support systems and strategies to ensure his/her success both academically and socially. We will have a caring and nurturing environment that starts with a positive school culture. Our Mission states that parents, students, school staff and parish staff are Partners that strive to live Christ’s message, empowering service-minded future leaders for the Church and Community.

If we all work together as a team, I know we can achieve great things. We Love Our Parents! You, our parents and students are the cornerstone of our school. Your engagement is key to your child’s academic success and the overall energy and spirit of the school’s culture. Although school looks very different right now, I would encourage you to share your creative ideas for fundraising and community building in distant learning and when we are back together again on campus. Thank you for your support and partnership.

My door is always open. Please contact me anytime by phone, email, or just drop by.

Peace & God Bless,

Patti Calton

BE SURE TO TURN IN ALL BEGINNING OF THE YEAR PAPERWORK BY 9/1/2020

The packets given out during Meet and Greet last week contain the forms that all families are required to complete each school year. Please be sure to get them turned in ASAP but no later than September 1st. We will be collecting the packets on picture day for your convenience but you may also drop them in the special box outside of the office during office hours, fax or email them into the office as well. If you have not yet received your packet, Mrs. Marron has contacted you so please make arrangements to come and get your packet before Friday. Thank you.

SCHOOL PICTURE DAY IS TOMORROW

The photographer has asked us to share the below information with all families coming to picture day. Please read it carefully. If you have signed up for more than 1 appointment, please let Mrs. Marron know. If you change your appointment, also let Mrs. Marron know as the photographer has been given the schedule so we will need to let him know of any changes. Please make every effort to keep your appointment. We will send information out regarding a picture make-up day in the near future.

St. Joseph School’s 25th Anniversary Golf Tournament

As we try to get back to some sort of normalcy, one tradition continues as we celebrate 25 years of the St. Joseph School Golf Tournament. We will be having the annual golf tournament at The Club at Ruby Hill on Monday, October 5, 2020. Because of the restrictions of COVID-19, there will only be a golf tournament and not a dinner portion this year. Auction items will be online on a new website. We are seeking sponsorships, golfers, donations, and volunteers. If you can help in any of those areas, please go to the link below or contact Mr. Hashimoto (shashimoto@sjsmsj.org) with any questions.

#FirstDaySJS20-21 and #SJSFAMILIESROCK

We want pictures of your kids at Meet and Greet, on the first day of instruction, in their Zoom classes, in their uniforms, coming to picture day, etc... We have set-up a new email just for sending pictures to the school to be used in the yearbook, newsletter and possibly promotional materials. Please make sure to put your child's name in the title of the picture and let us know what they were doing. Thank you for participating in this! The email to send your pictures to is;

pictures20@sjsmsj.org.
