No applications will be needed to receive the free daily lunch meal. We will be taking proper precautions including increased sanitation and cleaning procedures. We may be providing free bulk breakfast meals (5 days’ worth of milk, fruits, cereal, yogurt, and cheese) for pick up once per week for all children between the ages of 1-18 years old.
Payments for a la carte sales may be made by cash or check in the “CNS Deposit” box at each of our school offices. For your convenience, credit card charges can be made online by logging on to www.ezschoolpay.com and setting up an account. You can view your child’s account balance anytime and receive reminder emails. In addition, those who have a smartphone can download the EZSchoolPay app to make payments and check balances for your child’s meal account even easier.
Devices: Coronado Unified School District is committed to preparing students for success in school and beyond. Part of this preparation includes exposing students to technology and guiding them in its appropriate uses. We are happy to announce that in the 2021-2022 school year, all 1st through 12th grade CUSD students will be issued a Chromebook for educational use at school and at home. Chromebooks will be treated like a textbook and students will be issued devices at the start of the year for the entirety of their career in CUSD, or until the next replacement cycle. Families may keep their devices over the summer to continue their learning. Students’ access to district-provided technology at home promotes our CUSD vision and supports personalized learning, opportunities for enrichment, equitable access to resources, and career readiness. Students will practice responsibility for operating and maintaining their individual devices.
Devices will be handed out at registration. If you are a new family to CUSD, you will receive your device at the start of school.

COVID protocols: COVID19 Updates and Safe Reopening Information from Superintendent Mueller: Our collective focus and responsibility is safely returning our students and staff, in person, to campus five days a week. The State and County Department of Public Health direct public policy on public health guidelines and we will comply with and enforce their guidance. Challenging this authority may compromise or jeopardize the district’s State funding, insurance coverage, and our ability to have all students return to campus. State and CDPH directives have been issued, challenged and changed a number of times through out the pandemic and we anticipate this pattern will continue. CUSD will follow current mandated guidelines to support our focus on keeping all grade levels and staff safe and on campus in full day schedules.
In an effort to keep our community informed, we have created the following “user-friendly” summary to provide updates regarding the latest information on frequently changing guidance on public health protocols. Please take time to acquaint yourself with this important document. If you have questions or need additional information about this plan, please contact the COVID Response Team at COVIDtest@coronadousd.net.
