Character Counts at Green!

Students are nominated by a school staff member for exemplifying our trait of the month. They earn a brag tag and their picture on the Wall of Fame. Congratulations to students nominated for showing optimism in the month of September:

Anti-Bullying Campaign

Students at Green participated in the district's anti-bullying campaign during the month of September. We will continue to promote kindness at Green Township Elementary as we move into National Anti-Bullying Month in October.

Notes From the Office

Only adults listed on a student's emergency contacts will be able to check out a student from school. In addition, anyone picking up a child, will need identification to be able to check a student out of school.

Any changes to your child's dismissal procedure need to be sent to Mrs. McCartney before 3:00.

All volunteers must have a limited criminal history and sex offender background check performed by the school every year. This includes anyone interested in helping out without classroom parties. This process can take some time, so please contact the office well in advance of the school or classroom event.

Curricular Materials and Meal Assistance Program

This program helps families receive a discount on lunch and curricular fees if you qualify. Participating in this program can help Green Township Elementary because many grants and organizations provide additional funding to the school and district based on the number of qualifying families. Even if you think you will not qualify, please take a moment to read the information:

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place October 19 and 20 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Conferences can be scheduled using Family Access: click “Teacher Conferences” on the left side of the screen. By choosing “All Conferences”, you can select a time that is available and works for your schedule. Then, click on save. If you have more than one student, then you will need to schedule a separate time for each student.

Scheduling opens Friday, September 30. The window to select a time will close on Monday, October 17.

Grandparents' Night

Are you looking for an evening of fun and excitement? A chili supper, pictures, and the book fair are just a few of the activities planned for Grandparents' Night. This event will take place from 6:00-7:30 on Tuesday, October 25.
