Level 3 Update

Kia ora,

I hope you had a great weekend and managed to enjoy a bit of sunshine. This is just a quick note to inform you that we do not have any students coming into school on Wednesday when we move to Alert Level 3. Therefore we will be closing the school to follow the Ministry of Education guideline which states, “Schools must make reasonable efforts to ensure that only those staff who are necessary to support the number of children that you have at school, are on site.”

I would like to thank everyone for managing to keep your children at home during Alert Level 3 and for continuing to help your children with their distance learning programme. We really appreciate your support.

Please email principal@matapu.school.nz if your situation changes or if you have any questions.

Teacher Only Day - Postponed

Prior to going into lockdown we were scheduled to have a teacher only day this Friday 3rd September. Given that the purpose of this day was to meet face to face with teachers and our professional learning facilitator, we have decided to postpone it until we are back in at least Alert Level 2. Therefore the students’ distance learning programme will continue as normal on Friday.
