Parent-Teacher Conferences

Triton Middle and High School are very excited about the upcoming Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences. We will be utilizing a scheduled conference format. Fall Conferences are taking place on Tuesday, November 15, and Monday, November 21. Students are encouraged to attend conferences with their parents.
At conferences, you will meet with your child's advisor/homeroom teacher. Parents and students will then have a 20-minute time frame to have conversations with other teachers as needed. Progress report cards (THS) and report cards (TMS) will be handed out at conferences.
We will be using a web-based program called Sign Up Genius to schedule conferences. You should have received an email with a link to sign up for conferences. Feel free to contact the Middle School or High School Office with questions or concerns.
We are excited to meet with all of you and continue to work together to create the best possible educational experience for your child

The purpose of this time is to provide additional re-teaching and re-learning and offer enrichment experiences. Remember that juniors and seniors that have all grades above a C will have the option to be excused for Flex Friday periods.
Triton Honors Profile of a Graduate Award Winners!
The Triton Profile of a Graduate is our locally developed approach to what it means to be a graduate of Triton High School. We have incorporated many principles and competencies designed to help all students develop the skills necessary for success in college, in a career, and most importantly in life.
The Profile of a Graduate is designed around a community-engaged process to create a beacon for future educational strategic planning. It presents a clear visualization of priority goals for teaching and learning that can be easily communicated to students, parents, and staff to align collective efforts. Our Profile articulates the Triton community’s aspirations for all students and will serve as a North Star for future system transformation.

Substitute Teachers Needed
We are always in need of substitute teachers. You can be a substitute teacher without having an educational degree. Our teachers leave great sub plans and we will help you every step of the way.
If you or someone you know is interested, I encourage you to explore getting a short call sub license with the Minnesota Department of Education.
Please contact Luke Lutterman with questions.

Digital Tools Used at Triton
Triton Public Schools uses a variety of digital tools to support student learning. Technology vendors and software are utilized to support work as we help all students develop the skills necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world.
We have an inventory of our curriculum, testing, and assessment tools posted at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1unjuIsIGGM2021Tdas_yEXLTsqA4oD1gkgZ_SXMUujA/edit?usp=sharing and include an outline of the student data elements within each tool. This list is maintained and communicated annually to all families at the start of the school year.
Please reach out to Technology Coordinator Rebecca Goossens (rgoossens@triton.k12.mn.us) or Technology Integrationist Coltt Ullom (cullom@triton.k12.mn.us) for additional questions regarding specific digital tools used in classrooms.
Sincerely,

Student Accident Insurance
Dear Parents/Guardians:
The Triton School District is not responsible for any accidental injuries that occur to students while under the school’s supervision or participating in interscholastic sports.
Our School District has partnered with Student Assurance Services to give families the opportunity to purchase accident insurance for their student(s). When enrolled, this coverage provides financial assistance with your out-of-pocket medical expenses should your student sustain an accidental bodily injury.
Reasons to consider coverage for your student:
Your primary health insurance has a high deductible – copay – coinsurance.
No other insurance on your student.
Your student participates in a sport where unexpected injuries commonly occur.
If you have any questions regarding this voluntary student accident insurance program, please contact Student Assurance Services at (800) 328-2739. You will speak with a live person who can assist you with your questions.
Triton Live Streaming
Live-streamed games and activities can be found on the Triton Activities YouTube channel and also at www.triton.k12.mn.us under the High School Tab. You can also go back and watch previous games and events.
