Upcoming Events
House Mass - October 10
Fr. Bob Kollath of St. Gabriel Parish will preside for the Mass. Mass will be held outdoors along the shores of Lake Winnebago. Please bring your own chair. No RSVP required, but carpooling is suggested due to limited parking. We look forward to celebrating Mass together and growing in community with you and your family!

All Aboard 2021 - October 16
Our first-of-its-kind ALL ABOARD event is combining the best parts of all of our elementary and middle school fundraisers of years past. That means for some of you Event Boards will be a familiar concept but others may be a little confused. Good news! If you don’t know what an event board is, you’ll learn later this week. If you do know what an event board is, you won’t want to miss them going live on our ALL ABOARD website this Friday!
It’s just another way you can join us as we gather to celebrate and support our elementary and middle schools. Don’t miss the train!

Zephyrs Girls Tennis Named Conference Champions The Zephyrs won its sixth consecutive Wisconsin Combined Tennis Conference Championships this last weekend, placing first in every spot. Congrats, Zephyrs! | Adoration Offered at SMCHS on October 1 On the first Friday of every month during the school year, the SMCHS chapel is home to Eucharistic Adoration, which is open for you! STEM at SMCS
Opportunities for Community Mentors, Supporters, and SMCHS Students
The STEM Club welcomes all SMCHS students to join and can help with any STEM projects someone may have!
- Photo drones to help with photography projects
- Video equipment to help with video projects
- Fly drones and rockets for fun
- Use the mill and the 3-D printer
- Build planes, robots, and drones for fun
- Try a hand at aviation with STEM Club's flight simulator
- And more
STEM Club is open most Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
This year, STEM Club also offers two more structured programs: VEX Robotics and ESports Team. VEX Robotics teams have roles for builders (lead and assistant), programmers (lead and assistant), technical journalists, drivers, tournament scouts and other. The STEM Club also helps put on Robotics Tournaments in December and January, a STEM Saturday event for the community in March or April, and a Fly-In in July. STEM Club is also always on the lookout for adult mentors to help with robotics, drone flying and making, RC Cars and planes, 3-D printing, milling, or any other STEM activity.

School Menu Changes
SMCS students are not charged for school meals during the 2021-22 school year due to a federally funded waiver program. Because of the ongoing pandemic and disruptions in the food supply chain and labor shortages, last-minute menu changes and product substitutions may be made, but meals will still be balanced, healthy, and plentiful.

SMCS Zephyrs Apparel For Sale
Zephyrs Girls Basketball apparel and sherpas have been added online to the Zephyrs Spirit Stop here. Boys Basketball and other generic SMCS Zephyrs apparel will be shared soon.
The Zephyrs Spirit Stop (located outside the SMCHS gymnasium) is also open during most home sporting events and will be open every Friday (school is in session) from 7:30-8:15 a.m.
Parish Connection
You are invited to St. Gabriel Parish's monthly Call to Action Speaker Series on Monday, October 11 at 7 p.m. in the church.
October's speaker will be Beth Knapinski speaking on He Calls Us All Home: A Young Adult's Journey in Faith. Beth's testimony is one marked by God's grace, mercy, and His call home for us all, reflecting the joy of living in the light of the Gospel and the Church. Both adults and young adults are encouraged to attend. No RSVP required. Free refreshments and snacks available.
Join St. Margaret Mary Parish for the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Tuesday October 4 at 9:30 a.m. in the church. SMM students will be in attendance. During the school year, the Chaplet will be held on the 1st Tuesday of each month.

St. Mary and St. John the Baptist
The First Saturday Mass will be offered at St. Mary Parish on October 2. Join the St. Mary/St. John Parish community for Adoration and Confession beginning at 9 a.m., followed by Mass at 10 a.m. The Five First Saturdays Devotion is one of the principal points of the Fatima message. It centers on the urgent need for mankind to offer reparation and expiate for the many injuries that the Immaculate Heart of Mary suffers from the hands of both impious and indifferent men.
All are invited to St. Patrick’s Pipe Organ Repair Fundraiser: The Clipper City Chordsmen.
The spaghetti dinner and show is on October 9 at St. Patrick's Geenen Hall, with dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the show at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $30/each. Enjoy community, good food, and great barbershop music. Call 725-8381 X 101, or stop at the parish office to make reservations.
Employment Opportunities

Afterschool Care Providers - Provide afterschool care to students from 3-5:30 p.m. every day that school is in session.
Elementary Enrichment Program Coordinator - Assist with the planning, delivery, assessment, and ongoing improvement of the SMCS Elementary Enrichment Program.
Enrollment Coordinator - Work with the SMCS team to support recruitment, retention, enrollment management functions, and student/family experience at SMCS.
