Dear Families,

This week I was invited to witness our 8th graders practicing Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in their religion class. It was a beautiful scene, with a candle lit on each side of the Monstrance. Their reverence in being in the presence of our Lord filled me with grace. The experience was a true example of the mission of Catholic education, experience being the key word. These experiences are “the more,” “Magis” that Catholic education bring to our students. Opportunities to experience the presence of Christ in our daily lives. I shared a prayer this week with the school written by Saint Teresa of Avila:

Let nothing disturb you. Let nothing frighten you. All things pass. God does not change. Patience achieves everything. Whoever has God lacks nothing. God alone suffices. Christ has no body now on earth but yours; no hands but yours; no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which the compassion of Christ must look out on the world. Yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good. Yours are the hands with which He is to bless His people.

This prayer pretty much sums up the mission of Butte Central. To transform student’s souls to go forth and be Christ-like. Words can’t describe my gratitude to work in a community where I get the opportunity to have these experiences every day. I wish you all a wonderful and Blessed weekend!

God Bless,

Paul
