Special Recognition
Parkland School District was a winner of an AP District of the Year Award. Parkland High School is included on the College Board’s 4th annual honor roll which consists of the 477 U.S. public school districts that simultaneously achieved increases in access to AP® courses for a broader number of students and also maintained or improved the rate at which their AP students earned scores of 3 or higher on an AP Exam. In 2012 -2013, 596 Parkland High School students took AP Exams in 25 subjects. Out of those tests, 87.2% received a score of 3 or higher. For students scoring 3 or higher, the PA average is 68.3% and the national average is 60.9%. College credit is received for any score between 3 and 5.
