Grade 11 Trip to Biology in Action

Students are to meet in the Hub first period today to prepare for the days Biology and Theory of Knowledge task.

Note to Grades 6, 7 and 8

Please could all students not attending the conference today, try to use the student basement toilet over morning break as our visiting students will be using our second floor bathrooms.

Note to Grade 6

Please could Grade 6 ensure to be even more diligent cleaning up for lunch today as we are going to be using the canteen for our visitors and we want to show off how clean our canteen is. Thank you!

Congratulations to 'The Anonymous Lab Rats' and 'Unitato' for finishing first and second this term in the quiz of the week standings. These two advisories need to pick four team members to compete in the quiz of the term (year!) final.

Grades 10 and 11 Art Trip

Date: Tuesday 08 December

Time: Depart Halcyon at 0900, Dismissed from UCL at 1600

Location: UCL Institute of Education in the Logal Hall, 20 Bedford Way, WC1H 0AL


Grade 10 (Vicky, Claire, Julia and Fra) and 11 (Alex, Isla, Charlie, Gwen, Anne­-Marie, Dina and Daphne) art students ( will be attending a day's workshop called "The Creative Process" held at UCL Institute of Education on Tuesday 08 December 2015. This is a specially designed course for GCSE, A Level and IB art students.


Four Contemporary artists will be presenting namely; Kate Malone a Ceramic artist, Rebecca Wright a Graphic Designer, Tom Piper a Set and Costume Designer and Gerald Scarfe a Cartoonist and illustrator.


The trip should provide great inspiration for our art students, learning from these artists about their creative process, methods and way of making a living.


Students should bring:


  • a topped up Oyster card

  • a charged iPad

  • money for a snack and lunch or a packed lunch

  • wear comfortable walking shoes

Extra Curricular for Term Two

Dear all,


Our extracurricular programme including lunch clubs will start the second week after you get back and you will not have any lunch clubs on the first week you get back after winter break. We will also have a few changes and additions so watch this space for updates next term!

MUN in Term Two

In January, MUN Club after school on Thursday will run as normal. Mr Jones will be supervising during January.


Lunchtime MUN Clubs on Monday and Thursday lunchtimes will be cancelled during January.
