Hispanic Heritage Month
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, today we highlight author:

Her award winning book, Land of the Cranes, tells the story of a young immigrant who is detained by immigration with her pregnant mother. This book was named best book of the year by Kirkus Review. To read this book and others by Aida Salazar, please visit the library.
- Our Varsity Field Hockey team had a brilliant win against a tough Harrison team last night. Goals came from Evelyn Nelson and Juliet Loffredo and assists from Juliet Loffredo and Ava McVey. The girls were relentless all over the field in this full team win. Come out tonight to support the team in their Senior Game under the lights, 6:15 start time!
- Our Varsity Girls Soccer team started the week out with a hard earned tie against a strong Byram Hills team. A collective effort to apply consistent pressure in the second half from the whole squad helped the horsemen ladies take away the point. The team will host Peekskill on Thursday night for their Senior game under the lights.
- Our Varsity Cross Country team competed in the League Championship meet yesterday at Croton Point Park. The boys team ended up tied for 1st place with Hendrick Hudson. 8 Horsemen athletes received All League Honors: Juarlin Rodriguez, Yu Cheung Chen, Silas Freitas-Corveddu, Eoghan Glynn, Sophie Saltzman, Nina Lyppens, Owen Staley, and Amina Aizeki-Nevins. Both Owen and Amina placed 2nd and were runner up Champions! Outstanding effort today by the entire team.
- Our Varsity Boys Soccer team was defeated last night in a hard fought game against a strong Tappan Zee team, 2-1. Exceptional effort by the whole team, congrats to Javier Angulo Moran on scoring for the Horsemen. Up next the team will travel to Peekskill on Friday.
