Snowflake Registration
Snowflake will take place on Wednesday, November 16th from 3:10 to 6:00 PM at Prairie. Registration will be open October 3rd - October 28th and will need to be completed through Revtrak or by using this link. The link will be live starting October 3rd.
Snowflake is a unique opportunity for middle school students to come together in an informal setting to teach valuable skills that develop healthy peer relationships, promote responsible decision-making and resist negative peer pressure. Sign your child up to experience a fun activity that will help them to gain a sense of belonging and a better understanding of one’s self and others all while having fun.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get involved!
Coming to the School? Some Things to Know
Additionally, if you need to pick your child up early from school, we ask that you utilize Infinite Campus to submit an absence request as soon as you know your child will be absent. When you arrive at school and push the buzzer, we will ask you to use your phone to scan a QR code which will direct you to a form you will fill out. This gives us details we need to ensure we are releasing the student to a trusted adult as well as a timestamp for when the student leaves our building.
Notes From Our Counselors
We want to share the topics that the school counselors will be covering this year. Each grade level counselor will go into the classroom to do Social Emotional Lessons (SEL) with the students. These lessons will cover a variety of themes such as respect, team building, problem solving and empathy. Some of the other topics we cover are bullying, positive mental health and the state mandated Erin’s Law (child sexual abuse awareness). If you would like to opt-out of the Erin’s Law curriculum, please submit this form to your grade level counselor.
Our approach is to teach students to make positive healthy choices for themselves. These lessons will occur throughout the school year. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s grade level counselor. We are looking forward to a great year!
