What are we learning about this week?
Reading:
This week we will continue to discuss different reading strategies and this week's focus will be making predictions with thoughtful questions. We will review the various levels of questioning as well as how questioning occurs throughout our reading.
Writing: We will use our knowledge of expanding sentences to begin to form a proper paragraph. Using this learning we will write a letter to soldier to celebrate Freedom Week.
Math
The students are continuing to build fluency in both subtraction and addition facts. We are writing equations to represent word problems and determining whether or not expressions are equal.
Science: "Our Place in Space"
In this unit students will identify planets in the solar system and construct models to determine patterns and relationships between Earth, Sun and Moon.
