A Note from your CCE Principal
Dear CCES Families--
April is in the air and all things are blooming at CCES! Our month is filled with many wonderful opportunities for students to refine and polish their learning so far this year! While we know how much our students have grown in their literacy and numeracy skills this year, we still have much more to do to get students ready for the next grade level! We are focused on our goals above to keep us coursing in the right direction!
We appreciate our parents and the support that they give our campus by ensuring students are going to bed at a reasonable time, completing any homework/practice at home, and reiterating the importance of education and positive behavior for our students. This time of year, some of our students need that extra reassurance that they can finish the year strong and stay focused! Please keep those conversations going on at home, we have lots of learning and growing to do and need your support!
As April comes our way, we are already planning for a Fun Run, Earth Day planting in our courtyard, Field Day, and PK, K, and 5th-grade graduation! Our partnership with our PTA supports us in many ways at CCES & and we want to thank them for all they have done! Our families will have an opportunity to support our PTA fundraiser as well, check out the fundraiser information below! Thank you in advance for a successful year!

Missing a water bottle or a clothing item?
Only have weekends to look?
We will collect our lost and found items and place them outside the front of our school each weekend beginning Friday, April 1st at 3:15 PM and continue until the end of the school year to make it more convenient for our families to look for their items.
Send your students with a refillable water bottle; our fountains are now operable and ready to fill our water bottles :)

School Starts at 7:30. It's Important to be here on time to get the day started on the right foot!
Reminders from our front office:
*If you have a doctor's appointment and need to pick up your child, call the school office to notify them that you will be visiting, drive through the front loop of the school and park in the front parking lot, walk up to the front entrance and ring the doorbell to the right on the wall, have your identification ready to show and we will call for your student and escort them to you outside. The office staff will sign them out and then back in when they return.
* Please check your skyward family access to ensure that you have updated your email address. This will ensure that you are receiving important notifications from our campus. Thank you!
* Make sure students arrive on time each day, school begins at 7:30. Each day that a student is tardy equals cumulative learning experiences that are missed in the classroom. Students often feel stressed when they don't know what they have missed when they are late, let's help them be successful by getting them to school on time.
Did you know ...
- that your child's attendance is affected each time they are checked out early, even if it's only a few minutes before the dismissal bell?
- schools and districts have a legal obligation to report truancy concerns?
- unexcused and excused absences of 18 or more absences put your child at risk of retention in the current school year?
*Help us avoid these outcomes, keep your students in school for each minute of the instructional day. Thank you!
CCE believes in our students and their potential!
