Wrap Our Town in Love
On January 25th, North Elementary will host "Wrap the Town in Love." The entire Danville community is invited to join us in the North Elementary cafeteria for this creative event!
As a community we will work together to:
● paint a large collaborative banner to be later hung in the Town during the month of February.
● prepare the student-made wrapping paper for distribution to local businesses/churches/buildings.
● print stickers that will be shared throughout the month of February.
Please enter through door 1. This event (9am-3pm) is come-and-go, so you don't have to stay the entire time!
After the event… The wrapping paper will be distributed to businesses, community buildings, schools, and churches. The paper can be taped to the interior side of a street-facing window. The wrapping paper will be displayed throughout the month of February as a symbol of town unity and appreciation for one another.
Check out the Facebook Event Page for more information, photos of our students working on the wrapping paper this month! And, stay tuned throughout the month of February! We’ll be sharing kid-quotes about community and photos of our wrapped-up town!
Want to be apart of this community project? Many have asked us how they can help with this unifying event! In addition to participating on January 25th, we do have a few donation requests. If your business/organization/church/group/building would like to receive a roll of wrapping paper AND/OR donate to this project, please follow this link to fill out a form: https://forms.gle/kJMtraYRHvcmQhPy9

K-Kids Crayon Initiative
K-Kids will be collecting crayons for The Crayon Initiative. These crayons will be collected, sent to the Crayon Initiative, melted, and then created into new crayons and distributed to children's hospitals across the US. How great is that?! This will continue through May and our North friends will be joining us in collecting as well.
Students are encouraged to clean out their desks and put any broken or old crayons in the Crayon Initiative boxes in their classroom throughout the rest of the year.
