Calling All GU-JC School Coordinators...
Please send a letter of application and resumes of 2-3 candidates in each school for the
GU-JC School Coordinator Position by Wednesday, January 23rd to GU-JC@montevallo.edu. Remember that these individuals will need to be people in the GU-JC schools that will receive a supplement and serve as the single point of contact for the schools and school teams. They will work directly with the GU-JC Area Facilitators. We will review the applicants and choose one from each school. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Construct Your School Team
Please finalize your school team and send the names and positions held by Monday, January 28th to GU-JC@montevallo.edu. Remember that you should have at least 4 members that include people from the following categories:
- Administrator
- Teacher
- Counselor
- Parent
- Community Volunteer

A Special Welcome to Our New Project Administrative Assistant
Meet Ms. Julia Mims
Julia Mims is a 2008 graduate from the University of Montevallo. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts with a concentration in Spanish. Since graduating, she began teaching Spanish at East Memorial Christian Academy. While there she also served as the Sponsor for the National Honor Society, the Student Government Association, the Spanish club, La Sociedad Honoría Hispánica and the Marching Band. She is married and works with her husband at their church as youth leaders. They have one son who is seven and a foster son who is 20.
