Fresh Faced Fish
Seniors may believe these words are talking to them. Actually, it is talking to the teachers. However, as the old proverb says, if the shoe fits, wear it. :)
*If the shoe fits, wear it definition. If something belongs or pertains to you, accept it. This proverb first appeared as “if the cap fits,” which may have referred to a fool's cap. The later version has become more common and is associated with the glass slipper in the fairy tale, “Cinderella.”

Spring Brings Out The Crazy
Spring is the snake of crime. It wakes and starts gradually appearing. By summer, statistically, it is in full force. (https://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/spcvt.pdf)
If you think the beginning of this season stinks, your right. It is skunk mating season. Those little romantic Pepé le Pew's start in February and don't give up until the end of March. Then, in May, they gift you with more, ensuring next spring won't disappoint.
Spring Break means a whole new level of crazy in the adolescence community. Tons of teens converge on the beaches, lakes, and movie houses. You can hear the collective groans of sanitation workers. And, in the aftermath, the teachers. Gotta nip the PDA in the bud. No blooming here. Focus, focus.
Whatever crazy is witnessed, the warming air and colors of the season are a refreshing reminder to concentrate on the renewal of life and the hope it promises, especially for those willing to see it.

Wise Words

This book is in the school library and was donated from proceeds given by The Class of 1940.
Shout Out
To Haleigh McIntyre, who tries to spread kindness and advocate for rights of those who don't have a voice. Haleigh is on the Compassion Committee, who meet a few times during the year to spread kindness. She always has great ideas, helps so much, and goes above and beyond!
The leadership ambassador students are passionate about making a safe campus and want to be role models for other students. They have worked hard with Mrs. Bassett and Mrs. Hackett to develop Restorative Justice practices on campus so kids feel understood, learn the right path instead of feeling ostracized, and to be empowered to make good choices while reaching their potential!
