Finish Well
There is an old saying, "It's not how you start the race, it's how you finish." Our goal with our students is to help them have a solid foundation in their relationship with the Lord so that they can withstand the storms of life and finish the race strong. We talked about Solomon and how he started out strong. David, his dad, gave him this encouraging charge, "Be careful to follow all the commands of the Lord your God...acknowledge the God of your father, and serve Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind...for the Lord has chosen you to build a temple as a sanctuary. Be strong and do the work." (1 Chron 28:8-10) Solomon started out strong, but somewhere along the way, he got off course. The Bible tells us, "As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God." (1 Kgs 11:4) These students are off to a great start! We pray that they will "run with perseverance the race marked out for them (Heb 12:1).

Finish of the Semester
Here are some quotes from our graduating Wyldlife Leaders:
From Quinci: "O the things us college kids do for middle schoolers....on another note, I am eternally grateful for what Wyldlife has brought into my college experience. Being able to share the love of God with middle school students is such a blessing. I've also enjoyed getting to know the leaders who all have unique and amazing gifts God has given them as well as being able to grow in Christ together. I will forever miss this experience, but will always be thankful for the random night in my dorm room freshman year when Wyldlife knocked on my door."
From Richard to the Wyldlife Leaders next year: "Don't ever get tired of what you all do for the kids, because it means the absolute world!! Kill it next year!!" (Shannon's note for those of us who are not in college anymore: "Kill it next year" is a good thing! That means keep up the good work!)
Prayer & Praises
Wyldlife Camp is from June 8-12 for our area. Please pray with us that God will use this time to reveal more of Himself to the kids & to the leaders and that they will love & trust Him even more. This is a great time of getting away from the world and focusing on God. We are also praying that the kids will mature in how they relate, communicate, and love others. That is a tall order with middle school boys!!
We are grateful for your partnership with us in ministering to the next generation and raising up laborers for God's Kingdom. Thank you for your prayers and your financial support!
"One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts" (Ps 145:4)
