Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England.

He was born on Feburary 12, 1809 and died on April 19, 1882.

-College Education

Charles Darwin went to the University of Edinburgh. Charles Darwin first studied at Edinburgh, but later switched to University Of Cambridge to study natural science. At the University Of Edinburgh, he wanted to start a medical career, but failed. At Edinburgh, Charles Darwin thought his teachers were "dull and boring." Even though they were considered "the finest in Europe." Later he left Edinburgh without a degree and went to Cambridge.

-Charles Darwin Adult Career

After Charles Darwin left Cambridge, he went on the HMS Beagle in 1831. The HMS Beagle is a survey ship that Charles Darwin stayed on for 5 years. Charles Darin had his own theory on how the species changes over time. Worked for 20 years on trying to figure that out. After meeting Alfred Russel Wallace (another scientist with the same idea), he published a book in 1859.
