February 20, 2024
Dear Cirby Families,
As we bid farewell to the month of February, I am excited to reflect and see that it's been a month filled with learning, growth, and a celebration of our shared achievements. Our Family Dance was a huge success and the Valentine's grams were all the rage!
Our students have continued to excel academically, showcasing their dedication to learning and intellectual curiosity. I am proud of the hard work and commitment demonstrated by both students and educators alike. As we move forward, let's continue to foster a love for knowledge and inspire a passion for lifelong learning.
Cirby is always a busy place! Students are working hard as the trimester comes to end this Friday. Please expect to see their report cards emailed to you on Friday, March 1. Spring break is just around the corner as well. There will be no school on Monday, March 25 through Monday, April 1. Students will return on Tuesday, April 2.
Warmly,
Farah Friend | Principal

Staff Spotlight π¦
Hi! My name is Mrs. Sanchez. This is my second year as the Community Liaison here at Cirby Elementary. I love cooking with my husband who is a chef, spending time with my family and dog Kona, cheering for my boys that are 16 and 18, at their football and soccer games. We recently moved to Roseville from the Bay Area less than 2 years ago and love it! I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Greek. It is a true joy to help newcomers learn English as I did when I came from Greece at the age of 4. The faculty, staff, and parent community have welcomed me with open arms which I am very grateful for. I am truly blessed to be a Cirby Eagle!
PTC Corner
PBIS Corner
Cirby School prides itself on our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) system. We wanted to start this PBIS Corner in the newsletter so you get a better understanding about what it is, how we use it, and give you an opportunity to see how itβs working.
So, our first PBIS Corner is to remind everyone of the expectations we follow at Cirby: Show Respect, Make Good Decisions, and Solve Problems.
Andβ¦have you seen or heard of blue tickets?
We give out blue tickets to students that are following our Cirby expectations. We draw names in the classroom each week as well as each month for super cool prizes. Ask your child about blue tickets!
