Happy Snow Day!
PARENT HELP NEEDED FOR TOMORROW!
Please signup here. It will only take a few seconds to signup and these are VERY easy jobs! Thank you for your help.
Also, we will have a booster club parent meeting on Tuesday, February 18, at 5:30 in the Choir Hall. We will be looking ahead at the rest of the spring semester and even looking into plans for the fall. We hope you will join us for this important meeting.
"Central's Got Talent" is Thursday!
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY
The Central Choirs are excited to present the annual "Central's Got Talent" talent show on Thursday, February 6. This show will feature some incredible acts and each choir will also be performing a song with costumes and choreography. It's a really fun show and a great evening of entertainment!
All choir students are required to attend and perform. This is a graded concert. Any students who are academically ineligible are still required to attend - they will sit with their group and cheer them on even though they are not allowed to take the stage to perform.
The talent show also serves as a fundraiser for the students in the choir department. Admission is $5 and we are only taking money at the door. If you'll let your guests know to give the box office the name of your choir student, a large portion of the admission price will go toward your student's fundraising account. The more people that you invite and attend, the more money YOU raise...so please invite people!
Important Times:
- Choirs will rehearse during their normal rehearsal/class times on Thursday (HarmoniCats will also practice right after school like normal)
- All students need to arrive between 6:00-6:15. 6:15 will be considered late.
- Doors for audience seating will open by 6:30
- Show will begin at 7:00pm in the Sarah Bernhardt Theater at Central High School
- Students are required to stay for the duration of the show
Admissions & Fundraising Credit:
$5 admission at the door with cash or check. SAISD Faculty and Staff may attend for free with their SAISD ID. Make sure that your friends mention your student's name so they can get fundraising credit.
What Students are Wearing:
- Men's Choir - bright colors, possibly neon (think college party). Everyone is going to look a little bit different.
- Chorale - blue or black denim jeans, band t-shirts (like KISS, AC/DC, Queen, etc.)
- Bella Voce - all black plus gold accents
- Concert Ladies - solid bright colored shirts with black jeans or black leggings
- HarmoniCats - too complicated to list here, but they all know and have been bringing it in.
