Catching up with Mr. C
Delsea High School May 2023
Hello Crusader Nation!
As the weather turns more springlike, it’s clear that our students at Delsea are in full bloom! There were so many exciting events academically, athletically, in extra-curricular areas, and in the community. I love watching our students thrive! When we see Delsea Pride all around us, it’s a testament to the way in which you are bringing up your children, the commitment of the staff, and the partnership that we have together. From the compliments about student behavior on the senior trip, the celebration of Achievement Night, the outstanding performance on the athletic fields this spring, and the high character our students are showing, I could not be more proud! They have accomplished so much this year, but there is still some time left to go. It seems hard to believe, but we are only about 6 weeks away from the end of the school year! Encourage your student to keep working through the end of the year and, if they are in academic or attendance danger, to reach out to their guidance counselor and see where they stand. Remember you, as their parent or guardian, can check almost all of the important information regarding your student via OnCourse, but remember the guidance counselors, teachers, and administration are always an email or a phone call away. April may be hard to top, but let’s make May even better! Crusaders finish strong!!
People's Choice Awards
Thank You to the Renaissance Club advisors for putting together this great event. The ceremony was filled with excitement, energy, and anticipation as the student's were announced and the crowd cheered. Overall, the People's Choice Awards was a fantastic showcase of talent and a wonderful celebration for each student that was honored.
Art Show
Once again, Mrs. Derose, thank you for putting together the art show. It was truly remarkable! The pieces on display were breathtaking, each one showcasing incredible talent and creativity. From vivid paintings to intricate sculptures, every work of art was a true masterpiece. It was inspiring to see the diverse range of styles and techniques employed by the art students, and the overall atmosphere was one of joy and appreciation.

Spring Concert
Let's take a moment to recognize our music students for their exceptional performances. While rehearsals may not always reflect the final outcome, last night's concert exceeded expectations in many ways. Even some parents couldn't contain their enthusiasm, especially during the band's performance! Great job, Mr. Du Beau!
6th Annual Unified Track and Field Meet
We successfully held our 6th Annual Delsea Unified Invitational track and field meet, where athletes and partners competed fiercely and achieved numerous trophies. It was a fulfilling and enjoyable day, and we owe our unified partners a heartfelt thanks for organizing it.
This meet was the largest one to date, with eleven schools in attendance, including Clayton, Kingsway, Glassboro, Lindenwold, Atlantic City, Mainland, Collingswood, Deptford, Schalick, and Gloucester High Schools. Special Olympics aims to foster inclusion through sports, and Unified Sports play a vital role in bringing people with and without disabilities together on the same team. We appreciate everyone who came out to support and be a part of this event, and we are grateful for your continued support of our SAVE and Unified Programs.

Working Papers
Starting on June 1st, 2023, Working Papers applications will be online at MyWorkingPapers.NJ.gov. Employers hiring teenagers must register online to receive a unique 8-digit code and share that code with every minor they intend to hire. The potential hire can then visit the website to create an account and start their working papers application, entering the employer's unique code. Caregivers must review the details of the job and provide proof of the minor's age. The NJ Department of Labor will notify the business once the application is approved.

OnCourse Connect
What is OnCourse Connect? OnCourse is a way for each parent or guardian to check their child's grades throughout the marking period on-line. You can check any time at your convenience. OnCourse can be accessed easily via our Delsea Regional School District website under the "Student & Parents" heading. Simply click on "Students & Parents" and then on the left hand side click on "OnCourse Connect". You can also access OnCourse Connect by going directly to:
www.oncourseconnect.com. Whichever way you choose, you will be asked to provide a username and password.
Each child and Parent/Guardian are assigned specific usernames and passwords. Students can use their log-in information to check their grades, teacher's comments, and attendance. Parents/Guardians can use their log-in information to see all of their children’s grades, teacher’s comments, attendance, etc. (there is no need to log into separate accounts, you can log into your account and toggle between your children).
Once you have logged in, you can click on the down arrow next to your child’s name, and if you have another child or children at the school, you will see their name(s) and picture(s) to click on and toggle between your children’s profile.
Delsea Regional School no longer has the ability to pull up your password information. If you should forget your password, please use the "forgot my password" option on the OnCourse Connect login page. OnCourse will then email you with directions on how to reset your password.
Please take advantage of this great opportunity to view your child's progress throughout the school year.
