American Chemical Society

Scholarship Description
ACS awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. African American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander (excluding Asian) or American Indian high school seniors or college freshman, sophomores, or juniors pursuing a college degree in the chemical sciences or chemical technology are eligible to apply. Eligibility: be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident; demonstrate high academic achievement in chemistry or science (Grade Point Average 3.0, "B" or better); and, demonstrate financial need according to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA) and the Student Aid Report (SAR) form.
American Meteorological Society

The AMS Minority Scholarships will award funding to minority students who have been traditionally underrepresented in the sciences, especially Hispanic, Native American, and Black/African American students. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status and must be minority students who will be entering their freshman year of college in the fall. To be eligible, students must plan to pursue careers in the atmospheric or related oceanic and hydrologic sciences (marine Biology is not eligible).

Scholarship Description
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program is a grant program that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, thereby gaining skills critical to our national security and economic competitiveness. The Gilman Scholarship Program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide. Eligibility Requirements:
- Current high school (or home- schooled) students attending a school in the U.S. who will graduate during the 2021-2022 academic school year.
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban- Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarians Parolees- Based on guidelines utilized by U.S. Department of Education for Federal Financial Aid eligibility.
- Expecting to receive high school diploma during current academic year.
- Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post- secondary institution.
- Able to verify a minimum overall B/3.0 GPA in high school coursework.
