Join Tri-Lakes Reading Council

The Arkansas Reading Association (ARA) is an organization whose members promote reading and literacy for people of all ages. The ARA state organization is an affiliate of the International Literacy Association and has a membership of almost 1500 educators.

Membership in ARA provides the following valuable literacy opportunities:

    • Scholarships/Grants
    • Publications
    • Recognition
    • Networking

Your $20 fee includes membership at the state and local council level.

Make Plans to Attend!

Author Mark Spencer will be our guest speaker at our October 10, 2017 meeting at Fountain Lake Middle School in the Library Media Center. Mark will share his story of renovation of an old Arkansas mansion that led him to author two books about it's tainted history.

2nd Annual Garland County READS

Is a reading initiative in which Tri-Lakes Reading Council has teamed up with all seven Garland County School Districts to make Garland County a community that loves reading.

This fall we will be reading Ralph S. Mouse by B. Cleary. Our 2nd annual reading kick-off will be October 3, 2017 at Transportation Depot from 5:00p.-7:00pm. Come and enjoy the first chapter of the book, food, and games.
