Other ideas:
Set aside a time for yourself that is sacred — a meditative time of day when you can focus on a scripture passage or meaningful hymn lyrics.
Contact 3 (or some appropriate number) people in your congregation each day — mail a card, send an email or text, make a phone call, reminding them that you are connected.
Church and Community Connections
- Many churches are moving to online gatherings for worship and Bible study.
- Several churches, including Riverchase Baptist, are connecting with local schools to provide meals to food insecure families.
- Some of our congregations, like Mountain Brook Baptist, have centralized their Covid-19 response and resources in one (easily located) spot on their website.
- First Baptist Huntsville hosted a Zoom call between mental health professionals and their parents.
Let's share our good ideas for ministry in your community during this health crisis and how you are staying connected as a congregation.
Celebrations
This week we are celebrating Dr. Chris Thomas, pastor of Williams First Baptist. Chris successfully defended his dissertation at McAfee School of Theology this past Tuesday. We are excited of Dr. Thomas and proud to have him in our fellowship! Congratulations!
