History
Ever February 14th, places around the world, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones...and sometimes just your lonesome self. It all goes back to the Middle Ages, it was commonly believed in France and England that february 14th was the beginning of birds mating season, which added to the idea that the middle of Valentine's Day should be a day of romance.
Types of arrangement
Your common arrangement are typically a dozen roses placed in a nice vase, however, Dutch Tulips are sometimes used for a more elegant look. It can also include Velvet Roses, or a majority such as Red Roses with pink Godetia, Sweet William and Ruscus all put together into something beautiful.
Prices
This is where men lose a lot of money. The prices can vary depending on what you get. Typically, a dozen roses can cost about $100, other times, if you want a real fancy arrangement, it can cost you about $50, $60, even $80.
Color Schemes
Pink is used for a friend or family member, its a sweet color as well as understanding. White is also used to symbolize spiritual love. Red as your traditional color for the special day. Purple can be used as well, may sound odd, but it means enchantment and originality.
Types of flowers
Orchids, this flower gives the feelings of love, wisdom and beauty. Tulips, they signify your strong and lasting feelings for someone else. A bouquet of red, white, and pink Gerbera Daisies make a great Valentine's Day flower delivery. Irses are used to show the blossoming of a relationship. Of course your carnations. Lilies and Hydrangeas are also used.
