Parent Teacher Conferences/Early Release on 2/13
February 13th is an early release day. Students will be released at 1:26 p.m. and there will be no school for our K4 students.

Full Day 4K Next Year
On Monday, January 22nd the Greenfield School Board voted to approve a full-day 4K program beginning in the 2018-19 school year.
Why Full-Day 4K?
Full day four-year-old kindergarten (4K) offers students the opportunity to engage in developmentally appropriate and interactive play-based learning. Students are exposed to a literacy and language rich environment, which fosters vocabulary and communication abilities. Students learn important social skills through positive interactions with others and are offered structure with a consistent daily schedule, including breakfast, lunch and rest periods. Full-day 4K provides additional opportunities for families and deeper partnerships between home and school.
What is Full–Day 4K?
· Offered at your neighborhood school- five days per week, 8:45am-3:26pm
(Half –day available 8:45am-11:20am with option to transition to full-day at specific points in the school year)
· Students enjoy play-based learning in the classroom and during outside activities
· Music, art, movement and creative play incorporated daily
· Breakfast, lunch and rest periods
· Strong partnership between regular and special education
· Family engagement opportunities tailored specifically to 4K families
· District provided transportation to-and-from school
(Students attending half-day provide own way home from school)
· Before-and-After School Care offered through the Greenfield Park & Rec. Dept.
Is my Child Eligible?
4K is open to all students in the district who will be four years of age on or before September 1st.
How Can I get More Information?
· Attend the District’s “BEE Ready” preschool screening event at Elm Dale Elementary School on Saturday, March 3rd from 9:00am-2:30pm.
· Attend the District’s Kindergarten Open House at the Greenfield Community Center on Wednesday, March 28th from 4:30-6:30pm.
How Do I Register My Child?
On Thursday, February 15th, 2018 the forms to enroll a new student in the School District of Greenfield for the 2018-19 school year will be available on the district website and at the district office located at:
