Semester Snapshot

This newsletter is a quick snapshot of the 2015 fall semester. This semester has been such a success for Epsilon Lambda between philanthropy, awards, sisterhood and so much more. We wanted to share some of these amazing accomplishments with you!

The Iotas Have Arrived!

Spring recruitment 2015 is over and we are so proud of all the hard work each sister put in to making it our most successful year yet!! It most definitely shows in our 48 new members, who are beautiful inside and out! Now that recruitment is over we look forward to getting to know all of our new sisters and planning an even more fabulous recruitment for Spring 2016!

As member development chair of Tri Delta Epsilon Lambda, I have organized multiple sisterhood events in order provide opportunities for us to bond as a chapter. This semester, we have had a trip to Skyzone, a sisterhood jeopardy game, and an upcoming trip to Hershey Park! I also planned a parents brunch for the chapter in April where sisters got a chance to share with their parents what Tri Delta is all about. Some of the officers spoke and shared what they do in their positions, a video was shown, and there was a photo booth where one of our very own sisters, Photographer, Madison Short, took pictures of sisters and their families! Lastly, For open meeting this semester, I created a presentation for the chapter on positive communication. For the upcoming semester, I plan to organize more events as well as retreat for the chapter. -Maddie Pardes

This semester, Epsilon Lamba took their biggest USO trip in February. Almost 40 girls came to BWI to welcome home the troops and help make goodie bags. This is always a rewarding experience for the girls. They love cheering on the troops as they walk off the plane to thank them for their service. T-shirts were also created to wear for the event. The shirts list each branch of the military and shows Tri Delta's appreciation for those who serve. -Lisa Kovaks

Greek Sing

Greek sing is an opportunity for each chapter to compete against each other through chants and dance. For the first time, there was a universal theme of the circus. Tri Delta chose to title their theme "Find your home in the Tri Delta circus", following a young girls journey through her dream of being part of Tri Delta's circus. Also for the first time, TRI DELTA WON GREEK SING! This was a huge accomplishment for our chapter and we are very proud of all the sisters who put so much time and energy into making this years Greek Sing so successful! - Ana Morales

Family Fun Day

Having a strong relationship with Tri Delta alumni is very important to the collegiate members at Epsilon Lambda. Being in charge of alumni relations I want to make our relationship with the alumni’s of Epsilon Lambda and the alumni chapter stronger by planning more events together. The collegiate members love getting to know the founders of our chapter as well as learning about member’s experiences at other chapters.

This semester, I planned Family Fun Day, which was held right after big little reveal. It was at Charles Village Pub in Towson and had a total of 95 current members, alumni, and new members in attendance. It was great to see alumni supporting the growth of their families, as well as for the new members to see how supportive the alumni are of the chapter. I hope that every year we are able to host a Family Fun Day on big little reveal for alumni to come and socialize with the chapter. Thank you for everyone who came out to make the event a success! -Angie Abrusci

This semester, President Emily and Philanthropy Chairman Erin went for a weekend to visit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which was an incredible experience. We also held our national philanthropy event, "Sincerely Yours", in the beginning of March. It was extremely successful and we had so many sisters participate in the letter writing. We also held some tabling events near the end of the semester to promote St. Jude and how much it means to us. During the Towson Greek Life awards, we won the Most Outstanding Philanthropy Program award for the 2014-2015 school year. We are very excited about all of our accomplishments this semester and can't wait for the next! -Erin Vogan
