ASTEROID
Small rocky body orbiting the sun, found in the asteroid belt
C-type
Mostly carbon and most common,much darker than most other asteroids.
S-type
moderately bright, mainly consist of iron and magnesium-silicates.
D-type
Organic rich silicates, carbon and anhydrous silicates, possibly with water ice in their interiors.
COMET
An object consisting of a nucleus of ice and dust and, when near the sun, a “tail” of gas and dust particles pointing away from the sun. Halley's Comet is a very famous one, it can be seen every 75 years.
