Curriculum Highlights

Language Arts-This week, we will finish up Superkids, Unit 3 and begin Unit 4. In Unit 4 we will be working with the ER and ED patterned words. We will also send a new list of memory words home-be on the lookout for those! We will read the story In A Pickle. As part of our reading, we will focus on comparing and contrasting stories we have read.

Math- We will continue working on Topic 4 this week. Our strategy this week will be how to use addition to help us subtract.

Social Studies-We will kick off our Service Learning Project this week. To begin, we will identify people who help keep our community safe. We will also have a visit from a police officer who will talk to us about safety in our community.

Religion-We will begin Chapter 7, Jesus Heals, this week. We will discuss Jesus' acts of healing. In addition, we will discuss how caring for those who are sick is a way to show God's love.
