FEV Tutor Family Night Webinar
Our 24/7 tutoring service FEV Tutor will host a Family & Student Webinar on August 31 at 6 p.m. This will consist of a Q&A session and a short demo so you can see what students see. Join us to earn about the benefits and academic growth possibilities with this tutoring service!

Tiny Tidbits: Small bits of news from DPS!
- Congratulations to Mr. Eric Banks of George Washington High School on his Cybersecurity 1 classes achieving 100% certification within the first three weeks of school!
- This week, we had TWO young people, Emmanuel and Britney, complete their requirements and get their GED.
- Gibson Elementary School has given six positive office referrals in the past week!
- Keep an eye on school calendars! Many of our schools are starting to announce their family nights and meet and greets for the school year.

The Danville Police Department is holding their 4th Annual Youth Engagement Talent Show on November 18 at 5:30 p.m. at their brand new police headquarters!
Students in preschool through 12th grade are encouraged to pre-audition by October 31. View more information here.

In September, we will continue our feedback sessions for students, parents, and the community for input on the upcoming construction projects at each school listed below.
Forest Hills on September 8 at 5:30 p.m.
Park Avenue on September 28 at 6 p.m.
Gibson on October 12 at 6 p.m.
High Fives for Attendance Campaign: Make sure your student is in class five days per week!
At DPS, we're launching our High Fives for Attendance campaign to remind students, parents, and the community at large that every student should be in every class everyday. We know that attendance is one of the biggest graduation indicators, and it is hard for children to catch up from missed days. Please join us in our efforts to make attendance a priority this year!
