WeVideo for Creating Your Project
Check the Library's Google Classroom to get a link to the school account. This link will provide you with the full version of WeVideo with all of its professional features.
Click JOIN WITH AN EXISTING ACCOUNT.
Log in with Google using your school Google email.
If your teacher invited you to a class project, join your class by typing in the code provided by your teacher.

Creating Your Project
To create your project, do the following
- Select the Projects tab
- Click Create New Project
- Give the project a title
- Add a description (optional)
- Select the Personal option
- Click Next
- Click Create Video
- Choose Blank Edit
- Click Startprojec
Recording and Uploading Media
- You can use your phone or one of the library devices to capture your media. You must use a tripod if you are using the green screen.
- If using your phone or an iPad, ALWAYS REMEMBER TO RECORD IN LANDSCAPE MODE.
- Once you have your footage filmed, upload all your clips to Google Drive. It's a good idea to keep everything in a separate folder for your project.
Adding Your Media to WeVideo
Once all your footage is in Google Drive, you can easily add it to WeVideo by following these steps:
- Open your project
- If you haven't already done so, click Start to begin a new video edit and choose Blank Edit
- Select the tab that looks like a folder with a star on it.
- Select Project Media
- Select the green cloud with the arrow pointing up
- The Import Media box pops up. Select the Google Drive symbol at the bottom of the box.
- Navigate the the folder where your media is located and select it.
Adding Stock Media to Your Project
Using WeVideo gives you access to thousands of copyright free images, videos and graphics. Simpy select the STAR to search through a large variety of media. Enter a search term to find just the right media for your project.
