Sage Creek Elementary

Spirit Day

Each Friday is School Spirit Day - we encourage students and faculty to dress in Sage Creek shirts (new or former styles) or wear the color blue (our school color). Our PTA is hosting a friendly grade-level competition with treats and a roaming dragon trophy.

Safety Reminders

As we start a new school year, it's a good idea to review some safety items:

* Please do not park and leave your car in the drop-off / pick-up lane in front of the school. It causes traffic to back up and increases safety issues for students. If you need to come into the school, please park on the opposite side of the street or in the parking lot.

* We would also ask that you please do not call your child over to your car from across the street. This is very dangerous due to the large amount of traffic at the end of the day. Please encourage your child to use the crosswalk.

* The bus lane is only to be used by Nebo School District buses. Please do not use the bus lane before or after school.

* School begins at 9:15 with teachers arriving at 8:45. Thank you for not sending your child to school before 8:45 as there is not adequate supervision at this time.

* Now is a great time to review safe walking routes and procedures with your child if they walk to and from school each day. It’s also a good idea to visit with your child about not going anywhere after school except to their home/sitter. Students often make arrangements with friends at school without telling their parents and this causes worry on your end as well as ours.

REFLECTIONS

It's time to get working on your Reflections projects.

The 2022-2023 theme is, "Show Your Voice!"

All entries will be done online this year and will be due Friday, September 16th by 10:00 am.

Leveled Learning

Leveled Learning is our new online platform for our Chinese classes. Please look for information from your child's teacher about this new program and how to access it from home.

Cell Phones

We ask kids to keep cell phones in backpacks and not have them out in class or during recess (too many issues with pictures, chat groups, texts, etc.). Some students feel their parents need to reach them during the school day - the front office can always get your child a message during the school day. If we have to repeatedly ask a student to put away his/her phone, we will hold that cell phone in a safe place for a parent to come pick up.

Love and Logic Parenting Workshop

Nebo School District is offering a virtual Love and Logic Parenting Workshop; Tuesdays, Oct 4, 11, and 18th from 6-7:30.
