FREE LIVE SPECIAL EVENT: May 1, 2015 Via GenNET ITV
FREE UM-Flint/GenNET Special Collaborative ITV Event with Dr. Andrew Feustel
Dr. Feustel grew up in Lake Orion, Michigan where he graduated from Lake Orion High School followed by attendance and earning degrees from Oakland Community College, Purdue University and then a doctorate degree from Queen's University in Ontario, Canada.
As part of the day on May 1st, Dr. Feustel would like to reach as many students as possible. He has agreed to meet via distance learning/interactive television with classrooms to share his educational journey and professional career at the NASA Space Center as an astronaut and mission specialist.
Since this event is a live two-way interactive television event, registered classrooms will not only be able to meet Dr. Feustel, but there will be an opportunity for them to interact with him by asking questions about his work in his field from their ITV room.
***NOTE: Recommended for students in Grades 5 thru 12.
Details and Logistics About Participation
The itinerary for the event will be as follows;
- 12:35 pm Registered GenNET sites report to their ITV rooms with their teacher(s)
- NOTE: Maximum number of participants at each site should not exceed 30 students
- 12:45 pm: Live presentation begins promptly at 12:45 with Dr. Fuestel
- 1:45 pm: Presentation Concludes
Connections for GenNET ITV sites will be established by the Genesee ISD Technology and Media Services. On the day of the event, be sure to have the ITV equipment turned on 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the program on 5/1/15.

- Carman-Ainsworth MS
- Goodrich Oaktree ES
Up to three (3) GenNET Sites will be able to be live and interactive for this event. The first three sites registered will be contacted within 24 hours to confirm participation.
