HMS Virtual Holiday Band Concerts
Monday, Dec. 14th, 6pm to Tuesday, Dec. 15th, 6pm
This is an online event.
Use your student's GISD login and the nickname hmsholidayconcert to join the meeting. Feel free to invite family/friends to join in on the meeting and get in the holiday spirit!
If you are unable to log in with student credentials, Mrs. Becker will send a direct link to the meet at 5:30pm through Remind, Skyward, and Charms.
**Students that log in to the concert they are NOT performing in, will receive extra credit for attending (replace their lowest grade with a 100).**

Polar Express RESCHEDULED
Students who signed up to see The Polar Express last Friday, December 11 are invited to a makeup showing of the movie this week on Wednesday, December 16 at 6:00pm.
Students will be dropped off at the end of the teacher parking lot (off Miles Rd.), closest to the band hall and will have their temperature taken before leaving their vehicles. Students may bring their own camp chairs, picnic blankets, etc. and MUST wear masks during the event. We will have 6 ft. spacing marked off for students to stay in during the evening. Students may use the restroom inside the building, but will only be allowed in one at a time. All students must be picked up by 8:00pm in the same location as dropoff.

School-Owned Instrument Usage Fees
**Occasionally, we have students that play other instruments, not listed above, who use a school-owned instrument. The fee has been assessed to those students as well.**

Mrs. Manaois has completed her student teaching and is officially a certified Texas teacher! We are so proud of her and can't wait to see what amazing things she accomplishes as a band director. Thank you for EVERYTHING this semester!
Thank you to the Stephenson family for letting us borrow their projector and screen for our movie nights! We enjoyed watching Elf last week and can't wait for The Polar Express this Wednesday.
Thank you to all of the families who have donated decorations to the band! You have helped bring some extra joy and cheer to our classroom this season and we are so thankful!

Log in to Charms using the school code hudsonsoundmachine and your student's password. Passwords for brand new students should be the student ID with 6 digits only. If you cannot get logged on, please contact Mrs. Becker. She has discovered a new way to reset passwords!
You can click the "finances" button and pay fall band fees using Paypal. If you have logged in and are paying band fees, but your student has a credit on their account, the easiest thing to do is to make a miscellaneous payment. You can specify what the payment is for since it will be for the remaining balance and not the entire Fall fee. Then you can "request a transfer" of that payment to go to the fall fees.
School-owned instrument fees will still be paid in Skyward this year. We are having a little trouble getting that set up correctly since this is a change from previous years. We made some headway last week and hope to be completely set up by the end of this week. Stay tuned for more info!
