Run so as to win for Jesus!
Greetings,
It was wonderful to meet with you at conferences. Thank you for all you do to support your child and fifth grade.
We finished our coat drive with over 400 coats! We are now collecting food for our Thanksgiving baskets. In addition, we are helping build senior "survival kits." Please see the list in Thursday envelopes. The children are really responding to these community outreach opportunities to serve those in need.
We are back on our regular literacy cycle with the spelling test tomorrow and the reading quiz next week (Thursday). I am seeing good growth in the quality of work, the depth of thinking and time management. This model with alternating whole group, small group, partners, independent work, and one-on-one with me really allows for students to spread their wings according to their ability and developmental readiness.
We are nearing the end of chapter two in math. This has been a long chapter. The test should be some time next week. We will also test on our Baptism chapter next week.
See our new precept for November below.
Thank you for sending your wonderful children to me. I am blessed beyond measure.
Pax,
