A Message from Principal Choquette 4/27/18
Good afternoon. I hope you all had a wonderful April vacation despite the cooler weather. The kids were excited to share their vacation activities and trips with me yesterday.
This past Wednesday was administrative assistants day. I'd like to thank Elizabeth Peterson, Nicole Sawula, and Kathy Richards for all that they do to keep our main office and school up and running smoothly. They work hard and are dedicated to our kids and our school. Thank you for all that you do Elizabeth, Nicole, and Kathy....we couldn't do it without you.
I'd like to offer a huge congratulations to preschool teacher, Constance Janik. Ms. Janik will be receiving the "Above and Beyond Award" at the Autism Connections Conference. We are so proud of Ms. Janik and her dedication to her students and families. This is a well-deserved honor, congratulations Ms. Janik!
The annual Pride Parade is taking place on Saturday, May 5th! All Northampton Public School families are invited to participate by walking behind the NHS float! We are looking for families to join in the parade and carry the BSS banner. The parade starts at 11:00 a.m., and BSS marchers will meet at 10:30 in the parking lot across from the Northampton Brewery. Please email Stephanie at spouliot2009@gmail.com if you would like to represent our amazing and diverse BSS community in the parade.

Inclusion Update
Our new positions are in the process of being posted. I will be looking for a parent to be on our interview committees. Once applications start coming in, I will put our a request for parents and let you know how many committees we will need.
Walking School Bus
Beginning Wednesday, May 2nd, the BSS Walking School Bus is adding a stop at Sheldon Field (the parking lot located at the corner of Bridge Street/Rt. 9 and Old Ferry Road)! Sheldon Field will now be the first WSB stop on the route.
To celebrate this change and MA Walk, Bike and Roll to School Day, we invite all students, families and teachers to join the WSB drivers for a kazoo parade on Wednesday morning (5/2)! We will be kazooing songs the students learned for their fabulous "Bridge Street on Broadway" concert this past March!
Parade participants will gather at Sheldon Field beginning at 7:50 a.m. for coffee, snacks and cool giveaways. The parade will leave Sheldon Field at 8:10, head up Day Ave. to North St., and then follow the WSB route to BSS.
