CTE Spotlight - Cosmetology

Senior cosmetology students learn how to create captivating looks using balayage, babylights, and highlighting techniques. These learned skills will prepare the student to be salon ready.

Texas Tech Hosts SEMI High Tech U - Oct. 5-7

Texas Tech will be hosting SEMI High Tech U, October 5-7. Semi High Tech U is a three day high-tech career exploration program for high school students presented by the SEMI Foundation. The cost is free. For more information about how to sign up see the attachment below, or visit to apply.

This month's teacher of the month is ESL teacher, Valorie Poirier. Valerie goes out of her way to help other teachers and staff members. She is professional and kind, and always goes above and beyond to help her ESL students feel comfortable in the building and be successful.

Sign up for this year’s UIL Academic Team! QR Codes can be found in all English classrooms and around the school, or you can fill out the Google Form below.

You can compete in contests that include Speech, STEM, Social Studies, Journalism, English, and Theater. Participants can compete at in-person and virtual meets.
