Once the remaining adapters arrive, IT will deliver them to your classrooms.
REQUIRED: Updating your Hofius Website Profile
by Friday, August 24 if you haven’t already done so. You will need to include your name, title, email, phone number, conference period, and a professional photo (this process involves steps in both Schoology and School Messenger).
Once you have updated your profile, please fill out this REQUIRED district FORM.
REQUIRED: Signing in Each Morning

IMPORTANT: Student Password Resets
Interactive Panels and Accessories
Some wireless keyboards were not installed properly; therefore, they are not working with the computer or Interactive Panel (the USB dongle on the front side of your small computer was left off). Without this adapter, the keyboard will not work.
If you are experiencing issues with your wireless keyboard or any other tech-related issues, please fill out a Service Desk ticket.
Monthly IT Tech Updates Scheduled This Week
NOTE: The updates will only apply to Windows devices throughout the year and will NOT affect Chromebooks once issued to students.
UPCOMING: Preparing Your Schoology Courses Training
I am offering an optional workshop to prepare your Schoology Courses geared for all teachers on Thursday, August 23 in the 6th Grade PLC Room (1107) during all conference periods. Please bring your fully charged tablet and sign up for the course in Eduphoria Workshop to receive 0.75 CPE hour. If you have 3rd period conference, please arrive at the start of class and plan to eat during C Lunch.
Transferred Faculty and Staff Members
KISD district transfers for KISD employees who moved to Hofius were processed last weekend when HR rolled systems over for the new year. If employees are still reflecting their previous campus in Outlook's Active Directory, they can submit a Service Desk ticket to request the change.
Please continue to forward emails to anyone in your department who is not currently listed on the All Hofius Outlook Distribution List.
On a related note, several transferred employees are still seeing their previous campus information in Schoology (I currently see Krimmel listed on my account). Campus associations will be updated over the next couple of weeks as HR and Skyward is updated. Once it is complete, the Digital Learning Team will notify campus Digital Learning Specialists. Please do not submit a Service Desk Request to request the change.
Previous New Teacher Tech Training
Sadly, I failed to put out a sign in sheet for the Technology Updates training geared towards new to Klein teachers on Thursday, August 8 in the Library. Please email me if you attended this session so you can be added to the Eduphoria Workshop session and receive your 2 hour credit.
UPCOMING: DyKnow Cloud Training Has Been Rescheduled
An optional DyKnow Cloud training for new teachers has been rescheduled to Wednesday, September 5 in the 6th Grade PLC Room (1107) from 7:45 - 8:30 AM due to delayed program purchasing and licensing issues. Please bring your fully charged tablet and sign up for the course in Eduphoria Workshop to receive 0.75 CPE hour.
